G10 Thruster Fins Designed to Excel in a Range of Wave Sailing Conditions

The all new Thruster3 wave fin set, is the first installment of our new generation, BLACK PROJECT 3.0 windsurfing fin collection. These new thruster fins incorporate everything that we have learnt and experienced throughout our windsurfing career and is the most widely tested fin set which we have ever launched.

To develop this new wave sailing fin set we worked closely with PWA/IWT athlete Arthur Arutkin, with extensive input from our professional team including 5 x World Champion Philip Köster, 3 x Aloha Classic Champion Morgan Noireaux, rising Japanese star Takuma Sugi and wave riding maestro Bernd Roediger.

Fin Set Features

The first thing that you will notice about these fins is that the front fins have considerably more flex than any other fins we have previously released, these are designed to increase feel and grip during the initial phase of the bottom turn while feeling positive and connected as you flow through your top turn. The increased spring helps to smooth out bumps in the wave and keep your rail engaged for a positive and tight radius. All Thruster3 sets come with 11cm front fins.

The rear fin is available in a range of sizes from 16.0cm to 17.5cm and has more spring than previous models but considerably less flex than the front fins in the set. The flowing curved outline and smooth foil transitions promotes a controlled, fluid, and dependable turn. The front and rear fins are designed to work together in harmony and thus should be used together as a set.

Recommended Sizes & Tuning Options

The Thurster3 fin set can be tuned to excel in a wide range of wave sailing conditions from onshore to side offshore. By increasing the size of the rear fin, performance in onshore and side-onshore conditions is enhanced while for side and side-offshore conditions a more balanced set up with a smaller rear fin promotes a natural surfing style of wave riding.
